Charles Arnoldi (b. 1946) has been making art for over 35 years-- first achieving major acclaim in the 1970’s. A decade later he established himself as one of the most prominent painters working in southern California, becoming best known for brightly-colored, abstract works that incorporate the use of wood as an expressive medium, often using tree branches and twigs. In the 1990's, Arnoldi returned to painting on canvas. His paintings from this period are predominantly black and white and display free-flowing organic shapes like twists and loops which give them a sense of motion.
The artist currently lives and works in the Los Angeles, California area.
