Erik Beehn

Erik Beehn (b. 1979), a mixed media artist, was born in Chicago, Illinois, and spent his youth in Las Vegas. Beehn earned his BFA (2005) from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Beehn's repertoire of work ranging in technique, from mixed media drawings, printmaking to pinhole and platinum photography, ignores the contemporary conventions of beauty and the picturesque, and instead focus on the small, mundane details within a space creating an environment that allows the viewer to take notice of that which is least often considered - the mundane.

The artist currently lives and works in Las Vegas, Nevada.
