Frank Gehry (b.1929) is one of the most acclaimed contemporary architects in the world, blending the division between architecture and sculpture. Gehry’s sculptures and prints share the biomorphic, contorting shapes that are essential to his creative process. These prints capture the immediacy and fluidity of Gehry’s intentions becoming works of art in their own right. Gehry completed his studies in city planning at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design in 1956. In 1962, Gehry founded his firm Frank O. Gehry and Associates. Gehry has received many awards including the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 1989.
The architect currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
