Ray Charles White (b. 1961) studied photography with Ansel Adams and printmaking with Jean-Paul Russell, and has worked in New York City since the 1980’s. Canadian by nationality, he produces pieces that express the volatile complex beauty of nature and our surroundings. He is able to capture the tension, order, and surface of plant life and water through technique, tight cropping, and close up views. His work has been exhibited at Senior and Shopmaker Gallery in New York and the Dia Art Foundation, New York.
The artist currently lives and works in New York and Pennsylvania.
