Stephen Hendee (b. 1968) is an artist who creates environmental installations with simple materials like foam core, tape and fluorescent lights. Hendee's work developed from a simple concept: an installation can be experienced just if it is possible to move through it. He studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and earned his MFA ('93) from Stanford University. He was an art professor at UNLV, and has held several artistic residencies. His work is in the collections of museums and corporations nationwide.
The artist currently lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland.
